About Us
John Totten is well known and well respected in the Alabama legal system for his vigorous representation of his clients. John is a lifelong Alabama resident and is very active in the North Alabama communities. In 1999, John became associated with a Birmingham firm and began his practice in general civil and criminal litigation. He was involved in representing individual clients throughout Alabama, in both state and federal courts in every aspect of their cases. In 2002 he concentrated his practice in all areas of insurance defense, including law enforcement liability, municipal liability, personal injury and construction law, including architect and engineer liability. He also continued his practice in general tort litigation and criminal defense. Today, his office is in Athens, Alabama, where he has helped hundreds of people in North Alabama with everything from drug possession accusations to family law troubles.
John was admitted to the Alabama Bar in 1999. He is also admitted to practice before all U.S. Federal District Courts of Alabama, as well as the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Give John a call - he is ready to aggressively work on your behalf while treating you the way you deserve.
Bridgett Browning has been John’s paralegal since 2007, where she works primarily in the field of domestic and family law litigation. She has over twenty years of experience in the areas of domestic litigation, criminal law and personal injury. Bridgett cares deeply about the clients, is always willing to go the extra mile for them in their time of crisis and provides support and dedication to their cases. She has a great deal of experience with the issues that arise in domestic litigation, and she works diligently to solve your problems with compassion and dedication. She is very organized and works hard to get the results our clients deserve.
